What do your Valentine's flowers really mean?

Roses are red, violets are blue, but what do they really mean when sent to you?

It is the most romantic day of the year, Valentines Day, and thousands
of lucky ladies, and some men, will be receiving flowers.

But before you get too excited, understand that flowers have a meaning
and it may not be a positive one. Check to see if your lover has sent
you a bouquet of love or disappointment below.

He loves you if you got:

* Red carnations: His poor heart aches for you.
* Gardenia: He secretly loves you.
* Zinnia: Lasting affection.
* Red roses: He absolutely loves you.
* Lilac rose: It was love at first sight.

He loves you not if you got:

* Striped carnations: Sorry he can't be with you.
* Yellow carnations: You're rejected.
* Freesia: Just friends.
* Anenome: Abandoned.
* Black rose: It's over.

And not surprisingly, a bouquet of withered flowers means rejected love.
